After Maggie Mae puts the mail in the mailbox, her job is done, but the mail still has a long way to go. The mailman picks it up from Maggie Mae's mailbox and brings it to the local post office. Other postal workers sort Maggie Mae’s mail along with hundreds and hundreds of other letters and packages. The mail may be flown or shipped far away or perhaps just driven down the street. Another mailman picks the mail up from the post office closest to its final destination and delivers it to Maggie Mae’s friends' houses.
